WWE Shuffles Upcoming TakeOver Schedule, Adds NXT UK Event

It looks like WWE is not doing takeover Survivor Series weekend.

WWE has what is considered the big four pay-per-views, WrestleMania, Royal Rumble, SummerSlam and Survivor Series. for the the past few years on those weekends we have also gotten an NXT TakeOver event but things could be changing this year.

According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, Johnson reports that the next NXT TakeOver will be on Sunday, October 4th. The next TakeOver was expected to be over Survivor Series weekend but that has reportedly been moved. Now the final TakeOver of the year is set to take place on Sunday, December 6th. No word was given as to why WWE has made this change.

It is also being reported that the return of NXT UK on September 17 may also be a TakeOver style event. WWE is filming NXT UK today from the BT Sports studios in London.
