WWE Reportedly Signs Major Free Agent

WWE had nabbed a big future star.

We have heard for over 20 years now how Kurt Angle was the only Olympic Gold Medalist in all of professional wrestling. No other Olympic Gold Medalist was able to make it or even get signed by a major wrestling company, yet that is until now.

According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, Meltzer reports that WWE has signed 2021 Olympic Gold Medalist Gable Steveson. No further details were given on Steveson signing with WWE. Yet, Steveson himself basically confirmed this Saturday morning on Twitter. Steveson sent out this tweet that just said, “Just put pen to paper…”

This news comes off of Steveson, along with fellow Olympic Gold Medalist Tamyra Mensah-Stock appear at SummerSlam a few weeks ago. Mensah-Stock has also expressed her desire to sign with WWE.

Along with the report of Gable Steveson signing with WWE, WWE also this past week announced that they had signed Bobby Steveson, Gable’s brother.
