Tony Khan Announces Extra Hour Added To This Week’s Rampage

Tony Khan is not afraid of Smackdown.

This Friday, Smackdown will air on FS1 as they are being moved off of FOX for the week due to MLB playoffs. With them airing on FS1 they will air a ‘supersized’ edition of Smackdown with an extra 30 minutes added to the show. The extra 30 minutes will go head-to-head with AEW Rampage on TNT. Yet AEW President Tony Khan did not think that was enough.

While speaking with WFAN, Tony Khan revealed that this Friday they will run a special live Buy-In before Rampage. The Buy-In will start at 9pm ET/6pm PT on the AEW YouTube channel. With this live special, that means AEW will go head-to-head with the final hour and a half of Smackdown on FS1.

As far as what we will get on the Rampage Buy-In, Tony Khan revealed two matches for the show. Bryan Danielson will be in a match with an opponent to be named as well as Bobby Fish in a match as well. These two will compete Friday before they have a match against one another Saturday night on Dynamite.

Three things have been announced for the main Rampage show with two so far announced for the Buy-In.

– CM Punk vs. Matt Sydal
– Ruby Soho vs. The Bunny
– Chris Jericho, Jake Hager & Sammy Guevara vs. Ethan Page, Scorpio Sky & Junior Dos Santos
– Buy-In Match: Bryan Danielson vs. TBA
– Buy-In Match: Bobby Fish vs. TBA
