Title Match Set For Night Two Of Wrestle Kingdom 15

Wrestle Kingdom 15 is a two-night event and on night two the IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Title will be on the line. Yet on night one, they had to determine a challenger for the champion. New Japan did so in a match between Hiromu Takashi and El Phantasmo.
Earlier in the year, Takahashi won the Best Of The Super Jrs while Phantasmo won the Super J Cup. The two tournament winners came together tonight on night one to fight for a shot at Taiji Ishimorii with the title on the line. The match itself was a great way to open the main card of tonight’s show will a lot of face-paced high-flying action. In the end, it was Takahashi who was able to pick up the victory and earn that title shot.
The issue though, was that during the match Phantasmo focused on the right hand of Takahashi and may have broken the hand during the match. Now the story is that Takahashi must face Ishimori for the Jr Heavyweight title with a possible broken hand.
Tomorrow night on night two it is now official that Taiji Ishimori will defend the IWGP Jr Heavyweight title against the 2020 Best of the Super Juniors winner Hiromu Takahashi.
