Ric Flair To Return To The Ring For ‘Last Match’ In July

The Nature Boy rides again.

Ric Flair is regarded as one of the best professional wrestlers of all time, so may say the best. Flair had his last match back in 2011 against Sting when he was working for IMPACT Wrestling. Then back in August of 2017 Flair ended up hospitalized and doctors felt he might not pull through. Needless to say, he was told he should never wrestle again. Since we have seen Flair appear for WWE but never do anything physical. Within the last few weeks thought videos have been posted online of Flair training in a ring with Jay Lethal. Now we know this is because Flair will have one last match.

Ric Flair confirmed today to ESPN that 73-years-old he will be making his in-ring return for one last match this July. The card itself entitled “Jim Crockett Promotions Presents: Ric Flair’s Last Match” will take place on Sunday, July 31 from the Nashville Fairgrounds following the final night of Starrcast V from the same venue. The show itself will start at 6:05 ET as an homage to the old Crocklet start time and will air live on FITE TV. Flair stated in a statement,

“I’m going to walk that aisle one last time to prove once and for all that to be the Man, you’ve got to beat the Man.”

Now according to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, the rumor going around is that this match may be a six-man tag team match seeing Flair team with FTR in the match against the Rock-N-Roll Express and a partner not yet known. Now that is just what is being rumored so take that how you may.

If we do hear anything else regarding Flair getting back in the ring for one last match, we will have it here and on the PWUnlimited YouTube Channel.
