Return Announced For Next Week’s Smackdown

A former World Champion returns next week.

Tonight was the final Friday Night Smackdown of 2020 and with that the show saw two titles succesfully retained and a new champion crowned when Big E became the new Intercontinental Champion. WWE is now looking to start 2021 of with a return next week.

WWE announced during tonight’s Smackdown that former WWE Champion Seth Rollins will return next week on Smackdown. Rollins has not been seen since Survivor Series last month when he sacrificed himself and allowed Sheamus to eliminate him. Rollins took time off to be with fiance Becky Lynch as she was slated to give birth to their first child.
