Reported Update On Rey Mysterio’s Injury, Not Expected Out Long

It looks like Rey did not suffer a full injury.

Yesterday and RAW went live WWE announced that Rey Mysterio was injured at Payback and could not compete last night on the show. A little bit later in the night, WWE confirmed that Rey Mysterio suffered a torn triceps but did not give many if any details on the injury itself.

According to Dave Meltzer on the latest Wrestling Observer Radio, Meltzer stated that Mysterio is only expected to be out of action for a few months. Mysterio reportedly did not suffer a full tear it is only a partial tear and surgery is expected to not be needed. With surgery not needed then that is only two months or so out of action.

It is unclear what the plan post-Payback would have been for Mysterio but now it looks like that is going to have to be pushed back a few months while Rey recovers.
