Major Update Regarding SummerSlam 2021, Day Of The Week, Location & More
May 27, 2021Many different rumors regarding SummerSlam going today.
The next major pay-per-view for WWE is SummerSlam and the talk has been for a little while now that they will run in Las Vegas, Nevada. Yet today a number of new rumors and reports came out regarding SummerSlam.
First off Andrew Zarian of the Mat Men Podcast reported that SummerSlam will be in Allegiant Stadium in las Vegas. Then he tweeted that SummerSlam will not be on the day we think.
After speaking to a few people in Vegas who would know…
I can confirm that SummerSlam will take place at Allegiant Stadium. pic.twitter.com/O5mKGLjO5n— Andrew Zarian (@AndrewZarian) May 27, 2021
SummerSlam won’t be on a day you think it will be on.

Zarian would then go on to state that WWE is looking to run SummerSlam on Saturday this year. Saturday, August 21st which is the same day as the Manny Pacquiao/Errol Spence Jr fight also in Las Vegas.
According to a very reliable source SummerSlam will take place on Saturday 8/21 in Vegas.
This source has been a home run with a few things regarding SummerSlam and I’m confident he is correct. pic.twitter.com/5TduYTFwxB

Then WrestleVotes reported that the August 21st date is a “provisional” date that WWE has on hold. Apparently, WWE has a few dates on hold for SummerSlam.
Update: 8/21 is currently “provisional” according to a source. Pacquiao fight wasn’t official until 5/21, no updates since on document being circulated. 8/22 & Sat 8/7 shown as “holds”. WWE’s preference is SAT. However being honest, I’m not entirely sure where it stand as of now.

Finally we got an odd report from the Sports Business Journal stating that WWE is looking a multiple NFL stadiums in the US to run SummerSlam, not just Las Vegas.
WWE is considering six NFL stadiums to host Summer Slam, according to a source with knowledge of WWE’s thinking, the first time that the organization’s second biggest event will be held at an NFL venue. The venues under consideration are Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, Calif., NRG Stadium in Houston, Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, MetLife Stadium in N.Y. and Nissan Stadium in Nashville.
The last one from Sports Business Journal is odd as it contradicts multiple different sources and reports over the last week very confident that WWE will run in Las Vegas.
if we do hear anything else regarding the date and location for SummerSlam, we will have it here and on the PWUnlimited YouTube Channel.
