Jushin Thunder Liger’s Final Match Possibly Set

It looks like the final match of Jushin Thunder Liger’s career could be a single or triple threat match possibly with some top young guns.

Last night at the World Tag League Finals, Jushin Thunder Liger wrestled in a six-man tag team match and after the match, a challenge was made for Wrestle Kingdom. Dragon Lee would appear on the screen and say he is now going by the name Ryu Lee. He then said that he knows this time next month Liger will be retired and wanted to face him in one of his final matches.

Liger would basically go on to accept Lee’s challenge, but then mention someone else he would like to face as well. He said he wants to have a match with someone who recently returned from a kneck injury. He never mentioned Hiromu Takahashi by name, yet Takahashi did just return from a bad neck injury after being out for roughly 16 months.

Liger is already set for a big multi-man tag team match on January 4th, the first night of Wrestle Kingdom, so this match would take place on night two.

Nothing has yet been officially announced for this match so it could be a singles match between Liger and Lee. Or it could be a triple threat match with Takahashi as well.
