Details On Next Challenger To Roman Reigns For The Universal Title

A match everyone is expecting may have been pushed back.

Since before Survivor Series, WWE started putting the thought in the fan’s heads that Daniel Bryan could be the next challenger to Roman Reigns. We saw Jey Uso defeat Bryan to earn a spot on the Survivor Series team and then Roman directed Uso to further beat down Bryan. Then last week we saw Bryan defeat Uso on Smackdown.

According to Dave Meltzer in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, A Universal Title match between Roman Reigns and Daniel Bryan is planned but the match may not be happening at TLC in December. they may have been leaning towards doing that match at the Royal Rumble in January instead.

As far as TLC goes nothing has been set for that show. We know the challenger to WWE Champion Drew McIntyre will be determined this coming Monday on RAW. As far as who Reigns could face at TLC with the Universal Title, we will have to wait till Smackdown tonight to see what that may be.
