BREAKING NEWS: Rey Mysterio Injured, Unable To Compete On RAW

The elder Mysterio is now out of action for a while.

Last night at WWE Payback Rey and Dominik Mysterio defeated the team of Seth Rollins and Murphy. Then going into tonight’s Monday Night RAW Rey was supposed to take on Rollins. When RAW opened tonight they alerted us that Rey was injured last night and could not compete. His son Dominik would take his place in the match tonight.

Now during tonight’s RAW, WWE has given an injury update on Mysterio’s injury stating that he has suffered a torn triceps. it is not known exactly what spot in the match could have caused the injury.

Rey Mysterio suffered a torn triceps during his match at WWE Payback Sunday night, WWE.com has learned.

Mysterio teamed up with his son, Dominik, to defeat Seth Rollins & Murphy at the live WWE Network special. He was originally scheduled to face Seth Rollins on Raw in a match where the winner would advance to a Triple Threat Match later in the night, which would determine WWE Champion Drew McIntyre’s opponent at WWE Clash of Champions. Dominik will replace his father in the bout.

This is the same injury that Edge suffered earlier this year and it was stated that Edge could be out of action for the remainder of 2020. As of right now, we do not know the severity of Rey’s injury and exactly how long this will set him back.
