BREAKING NEWS: First-Time-Ever Match To Crown New NXT Champion Next Week

Four men will battle for the vacant NXT Title.

Earlier tonight Karrion Kross confirmed his shoulder injury was worse than expected and he had to vacate the NXT Championship. This left the gold and black brand without a champion and a new champion will be crowned next week on Tuesday night.

Tonight NXT General Manager William Regal announced a first-time-ever match to crown a new NXT Championship after the title was vacated. Regal said he met with the NXT advisory board, Triple H, Shawn Michaels, and Matt Bloom and they have agreed on how the new champion should be crowned. On next week’s special Tuesday edition of NXT, we will see the first-ever four-way 60-minute Ironman Match. The match will see four former NXT Champions battle for the title in Johnny Gargano, Tommaso Ciampa, Finn Balor, and Adam Cole.

With this match being a 60-minute match that means it will take up half of next week’s show. This is so far the only match announced for next week’s special Tuesday night edition of NXT. NXT is coming to us next Tuesday as it is being moved for one week due to the NHL Playoffs airing next Wednesday on the USA Network.
