Backstage News On William Regals Interesting New WWE Role

Regal may be the ultimate coach in WWE.

At the start of 2023, William Regal returned to WWE. We know that he has been working backstage at the main roster shows but it was not really known exactly what he was doing. Now we have some news on what he has been doing and it seems as if Regal is working as the ultimate coach on the main roster.

According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, Johnson reports that Regal has been at every RAW and Smackdown since he returned to WWE earlier this year. In being there Regal watches every single match that takes place and takes notes on them.

After the matches, Regal meets with the talent and provides advice on what he thinks they can do to improve going forward. It is said he looks at what they could do to make their matches ‘stronger’ and ‘more realistic’ in the ring. It was noted that his suggestions have been a lot about selling, physicality during lockups, and reversal among other things.

The report noted that Regal is looking at the little finer details in the matches to help make them better next time.
