A Lot Of Cuts Coming Today Within NXT
January 5, 2022Today a number of backstage cuts are happening within NXT.
Over the last few months, we have seen a lot of changes made to the NXT brand as they transitioned it from NXT black and gold to NXT 2.0. We have seen most of the key players in front of the camera switch out for new names and now things are also being changed behind the scenes as well.
According to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful, Sapp reported that a lot of behind-the-scenes cuts are coming today within the NXT brand. Sapp stated that one name that will be getting cut is WWE Hall Of Famer Road Dogg. Sapp did not state exactly how many people are being cut but stated in his comments on The List & Ya Boy podcast that “there are a lot of NXT personnel cuts coming.” Sapp did reiterate that these are personnel, backstage cuts, and not cuts to the talent on the roster.
WWE issued Fightful a statement saying "With the continued evolution of NXT 2.0, we've decided to part ways with some of the staff based in our Performance Center. We thank them for their many contributions throughout the years and wish them the best."

Again it has not been stated how many people could be let go today and the only name publically stated so far is Brian “Road Dogg” James. Also, we do want to once again state these cuts are all stated by multiple sources to be personnel and behind the scenes cuts and not cuts to the talent on the roster.
