WWE Tells Extras Used As Crowd To Get Tested
June 17, 2020WWE is now taking no exceptions with COVID tests, but for how long?
This week WWE revealed that a developmental talent in the company who had been used as a member of the crowd at TV tapings had tested positive for COVID–19. WWE then canceled Tuesday’s tapings and told all roster members and production staff to come to the WWE Performance Center to be tested for COVID-19.
Now the person who actually tested positive was last at the WWE Performance Center on June 9th so the extras brought in to the PC this week as extras in the crowd would not have come in contact with that person. Yet WWE sent out an email to everyone who was at the PC Monday telling them they must get tested if they want to be used again as an extra.
Now the thing her is the extras were told they need to come to take a test before they can be used again. It seems like people only have to be tested one time and then they would be good going forward. It looks like WWE will not be doing testing before every set of tapings, just this one time. Why else would they tell extras to come on an off day if they were not testing before every day of work. Things can change on that but that is how it is ber perceived.
We reported yesterday what it was like for one extra to be at Monday’s tapings and how even though WWE stated people were socially distanced they really were not.
