WWE Reportedly Making A Major Change To RAW Commentary Team

April 10, 2021 0 By Tim Jarrell

One RAW commentator is being replaced.

Over the years we have seen many different commentary teams in WWE on all of their different shows. When it comes to Monday Night RAW some of the more notable names on commentary have been Jim Ross, Jerry “The King” Lawler, and Michael Cole among others. Currently, the lead play-by-play commentator is Tom Phillips and it looks like WrestleMania will be his last days as part of the RAW commentary team.

According to Raj Giri of WrestlingInc,  Giri reports that Adnan Virk is set to becoming the new lead play-by-play commentator on Monday Night RAW starting this Monday on April 12th. Virk is known for his work with The Score in Canada and ESPN. Virk was fired by ESPN in 2019 after allegedly leaking ESPN information to the media.

Regarding why Tom Phillips is being replaced, that was not stated in this report. Samoa Joe and Byron Saxton are still set to remain on in their color commentator roles. WWE themselves has not made any announcement regarding Phillips being replaced by Virk.

If we hear anything else regarding this change to the RAW commentary team, we will have it here and on the PWUnlimited YouTube Channel.
