Dexter Lumis is worse than first reported.

Last week on NXT we saw Dexter Lumis defeat Finn Balor and Timothy Thatcher to qualify for the North American title Ladder Match and NXT Takeover XXX. The next day in the NXT injury report they stated that Dexter Lumis suffered an ankle injury despite winning the match. Now they state that the injury is worse than once thought.

Today WWE revealed that the severity of Lumis’ injury is bad and his status for the Ladder Match at Takeover is now in question.

WWE Digital has learned that the severity of the ankle injury suffered by Dexter Lumis is worse than previously reported.

In last week’s NXT Injury Report, it was revealed that Lumis had suffered an osteochondral lesion to the talus after a grueling battle with Finn Bálor and Timothy Thatcher for a North American Championship Match opportunity.

Lumis won the bout, but the growing severity of his ankle injury has raised some questions around Lumis’ status for the North American Championship Ladder Match at TakeOver XXX.

As of right now, Lumis along with Bronson Reed are the only two fo the five to qualify for the North American Title match. Tonight either Oney Lorcan, Damien Priest, or Ridge Holland will qualify for this match. Yet with Lumis’ status for this match now in question, they may need to find a replacement.
