WrestleMania Main Event Reportedly Decided On

It looks like one Mania main event is set.

Similar to last year, there needs to be two legitimate WrestleMania main events since we are once again getting a two night WrestleMania. As far as one of the Mania main events, it looks like a decision has been made.

Last night we saw Edge return from injury and win the Men’s Royal Rumble match from the number one starting spot. Coming out of the match it was unclear what route they would go with Edge for WrestleMania. Do they do babyface versus babyface with Edge challenging Drew McIntyre for the WWE Championship? Or do they do babyface versus heel with Edge challenging Roman Reigns for the Univeral Championship?

According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, Meltzer reports that he does not know when the match will officially be announced but the plan for Edge at WrestleMania is for him to challenge Roman Reigns for the Universal Championship. This now leaves things open for WWE to build someone up to challenge Drew McIntyre for the WWE Championship.

Even though last night everyone thought Bianca Belair challenging Sasha Banks for the Smackdown Women’s Championship was a lock, Meltzer states that who Belair will challenge is actually not 100 percent right now.

If we do anything else regarding Edge versus Roman Reigns for WrestleMania, we will have it here and on the PWUnlimited YouTube Channel.
