When Did WWE Start Talks To Move The WWE Network

January 25, 2021 0 By Tim Jarrell

WWE wanted to move the network a year ago.

This morning it was announced that starting on March 18th the WWE Network in the United States will be migrating into NBCUniversal’s Peacock streaming service. All WWE content including live-streamed events will be on the platform. Now we have more info on this deal.

According to a new report from Fightful, they report that WWE has been talking since January of 2020 and moving content to another streaming service. They do not state if the talks with NBCU started all the back to a year ago or not. It was reported back in 2020 that WWE had talked with ESPN about possibly moving some of their pay-per-views to the ESPN+ service.

They also state that one person they spoke to saw this as a positive for the company as it can get more eyes on the product. Another said as long as it does not affect their pay they do not care where the shows and content are.

If we do hear anything else regarding WWE moving the WWE Network in America to Peacock, we will have it here and on the PWUnlimited
