Vince McMahon Hold Company Conference Call, Says Cuts Are Coming

April 15, 2020 0 By Tim Jarrell

Today Vince McMahon announced they are needing to cut back.

Many companies have had to make cuts and scale back because of the current times. The latest company to fall under hard times is WWE. What will happen next in a little uncertain.

First reported by John Pollock of Post Wrestling, he sent out a tweet stating that Vince McMahon was holding a call with WWE employees with an “important company update” to be addressed.

The call itself did take place and Mike Johnson of PWInsider reported what was stated in the call.

*McMahon just announced cutbacks and furloughs for WWE staff and the company overall, stating that these were hard decisions that reflect the current reality.

*McMahon stated the cpmpany would be cutting back on pay for Board Members and Executives.

*Plans to move WWE Headquarters out of Titan Tower to the new HQ in Stamford, CT have been delayed.

*McMahon also stated they would be cutting the talent roster and overall head count of employees.  Some will go on furlough.  Others will be let go from their responsibilities. Employees will receive texts about where they stand going forward.

The meeting lasted less than five minutes.

We can pretty much expect some WWE talent releases to be announced.

As of right now it is unclear who as for as members of the roster could be getting cuts but from what we are hearing, the first cuts could be announced as early as today.

If we do hear anything further on these cuts and cut backs within WWE we will keep you updated.
