Two Major Matches Taking Place Next Week On NXT

Next week’s NXT will feature multiple title matches.

Next week on NXT we do know that there will be two title matches taking place on the show. Last week we learned that Shayna Baszler will defend the NXT Women’s Championship against Rhea Ripley. Rhea Ripley has been build up near-perfect leading to this match next week. This will not be their first title match as the two met back on September 11th with the title. That match ended in disqualification for Baszler when Ripley hit her a chair. WWE is treating this as such a big match that the night prior, a special for it will air on the WWE Network.

Also, we do know that the NXT Championship will be on the line when Adam Cole defends against Finn Balor. Finn Balor earned this opportunity when he defeated both Tomasso Ciampa and Keith Lee this week on NXT. This match will be the biggest match Balor has had since returning to NXT this year. This will also be the first time Balor is in a match for the NXT Title since June 2016 before he was called up to the main roster in the draft.

We have been told by one source to expect a title change in NXT before the end of the year. It was then iterated to us last night that the title change they were alluding to was not the Cruiserweight title change that we saw last night. Many if not all indications to point to Shayna Baszler finally being dethroned as the champion and Rhea Ripley becoming the new NXT Women’s Champion.

WWE NXT comes to us every Wednesday night at 8pm ET/5pm PT on the USA NEtwork.
