Possible Spoiler On Host For SummerSlam

WWE looking to lock down top rapper for SummerSlam.

WWE has confirmed that SummerSlam this year will not take place on a Sunday. SummerSlam this year will be on Saturday, August 21st. The show is likely to be held in Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, but they are actually looking at multiple NFL stadiums across the country. The venue will be announced next Saturday. With that, WWE is also looking to lock down a top female rapper to host the show.

Last night during Friday Night Smackdown a video played to promote SummerSlam and the Cardi B song ‘Up’ played during the video. Yet WWE does not just want Cardi B to contribute to the official SummerSlam theme song but they also want her to host the show as well. We have been told that as of late this week it was not a done deal, yet others like Andrew Zarian of the Mat Men Podcast made it seem as if it was a done deal in tweet he sent out Friday night.

We were told that WWE would like to have Cardi B associated with the event in hope that it would help sell more tickets. With WWE looking to run an NFL Stadium, that means they are trying to possibly sell upwards 50,000-60,000 tickets if they are looking for full capacity.
