Major Update On WWE Announcing SummerSlam Location, Multiple Announcements Expected

WWE could announce multiple SummerSlam location.

WWE announced that SummerSlam will take place on Saturday, August 21st. As far as the location, that will be announced next Saturday on NBC during the pre-show for the Belmont Stakes. Yet WWE could announced multiple SummerSlam locations and not just for this year.

According to Jim Varsallone of the Miami Herald, Varsallone reports that next Saturday WWE is expected to announce not only the location for this year’s SummerSlam, but this year’s location and the next two years’ as well. WWE did that late last year on NBC as well when they announced three years of WrestleMania locations.

As far as Vasallone stating that the announcement is being made in New York and that could be a hint to where this year’s show is taking place, that may be more speculation than fact. Now WWE could announce MetLife Stadium as a location for SummerSlam but maybe in 2022 or 2023 and not this year. Many think this year will be in Las Vegas, but that is not a 100% sure thing.
