NXT Rebranding Was Done With Any ‘NXT People’

Normal people in NXT did not have input on new changes.

We know that starting on September 14th NXT will be rebranded as far as the look and the feel of the show. We have already seen the new logo and possible theme song. Now it is reported that those who were running NXT had no input when it comes to the rebranding.

According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, Meltzer reports that the new logo for NXT came together “with no input from the NXT people.’ It was also stated that people making the decision, on their own, are Vince McMahon, Nick Khan, John Laurinaitis, Kevin Dunne, and Bruce Prichard. This contradicts what Nick Khan said in his BT Sports interview when he stated that Triple H was heading up the rebrand and the changes being made to NXT.

We had heard earlier this week the show going forward will have a McMahon-Prichard production feel and this just furthers. It is unclear once the show returns to a live format in two weeks, we do not know what the roles of Triple H, Shawn Michaels, William Regal, Matt Bloom, Road Dogg, and others will be if Vince McMahon and his people will be making all the big decisions as they also do for RAW and Smackdown.

If we hear anything else regarding the changes to NXT coming in the next few weeks, we will have it here and on the PWUnlimited YouTube Channel.
