NXT Matches To Be Film At Tonight’s Smackdown Tapings

WWE getting the next two weeks of NXT squared away.

During this week’s NXT we learned that there will in fact be a new episode of NXT airing next week dispite it being Christmas. It was announced that Roderick Strong would hold a North American Championship Open Challenge. Plus Lio Rush and Keith Lee will take on the team of Damian Priest and Tony Nese.

Regarding the matches and more being filmed for this week the tag team match above Dave Meltzer noted in this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter, that match will be filmed tonight in Brooklyn, NY at the Friday Night Smackdown tapings. Regarding the Roderick Strong match, that match was filmed this past Wednesday.

Other matches filmed for next week’s show was Candice LeRae vs. Taynara and Bianca Belair vs Shotzi Blackheart.

Regarding the New Years Day show, all we know for that show is they will announce their NXT year-end awards on that show.
