New Japan Reportedly Closing In On new English Language TV Deal
January 3, 2021New Japan is coming back to our television soon in English.
Back in 2014 New Japan Pro Wrestling started airing on television in America on AXS TV. That would continue till the two ended their relationship in 2019 when AXS TV was bought by Anthem Sports and Entertainment and IMPACT Wrestling became the sole wrestling show on AXS. Since New Japan has been working to get a new English-language tv deal and now it looks like that has happened.
According to a new report from F4WOnline, Dave Meltzer has confirmed that New Japan is very close to getting an English-language television deal. The report goes on to state that “the deal is close enough that an announcement could come at any time.” No other details were given on the deal in the works.
Right now the only ways to watch New Japan programming in English is either through the New Japan World app and FITE TV.
