New Details On The Release Of Bray Wyatt

Saturday morning the news broke that WWE had released Bray Wyatt from the company. This came as a shock to most and seems to be a singular release and not part of another multi-talent release day. With that, we have more details regarding Wyatt’s release.

According to Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer, Meltzer reports that Wyatt was given the “budget cuts” line by John Laurinaitis regarding the reason for his release. Meltzer also reported that before today Wyatt was preparing for a return sometime in August. We do not know if that was for a match at SummerSlam or something else.

Again there are not many details on what lead to this release and why WWE felt they no longer wanted him in the company. One thing we do know is that this was not something anyone saw coming as the call came to Wyatt Saturday morning before WWE made the announcement. This was not like something that was going around prior like previous releases earlier this year.
