January 17, 2023Jay Briscoe passed away at the age of 38.
Tuesday evening the horrible news broke that current Ring of Honor Tag Team Champion Jay Briscoe had passed away. ROH owner Tony Khan posted the news on Twitter but did not give any details on what led to Jay’s passing. Now it is being reported that Briscoe died in a car accident.
According to the Delaware State Police, they did report that a car accident occurred near Laurel Road and Littel Hill Road in Laurel, Deleware around 5:30 pm ET. The accident itself led to an extended road closure with two people in the accident passing away.
Shore News Beacon noted on their Facebook that “four patients were trapped” and that two were fatal. It also noted “two critical patients” referencing one being pediatric. No word was given as far as how many vehicles were involved in the accident. It seems like those involved may have been trapped in their vehicles due to a fire.
