New Details On The Passing Of Brodie Lee & Cause Of Death
January 3, 2021We have more details a week of Brodie Lee’s death.
One week ago the world lost Jon Huber, a.k.a Brodie Lee and this past Wednesday All Elite Wrestling put on a great tribute show to the man everyone loved. Originally it was stated that Brodie passed of a “non-COVID lung issue” and now we may have a little more information on what lead to Lee’s passing.
According to Jim Ross on the latest Grillin’ JR Podcast, Ross stated that Lee may have passed due to double lung failure. He said he was told that Brodie was so bad that he did not even qualify for a lung transplant. Ross stated the following regarding Brodie Lee,
“Always smiling. Funny guy. Great sense of humor. That’s why I said, I’m going to work today and I’ll tell these young guys, “Hey, it doesn’t hurt to laugh. As I said, laughter is a good medicine, and he made you laugh, didn’t he?” “Oh yeah.” Remember those times. That’s a hell of a lot better than him not being able to kick out of his issues.
“I still don’t know what. I haven’t seen of or heard of an autopsy. All I know is he had double lung failure. His lungs were so bad that he couldn’t qualify for a transplant, so after, as I heard the story, whether it’s totally accurate or not I don’t know, that they took him off his machine to see if he could kick out himself as that’s about the only chance he had. It just obviously didn’t work, so it’s a sad time for all of us. Again, he impacted so many of us on our roster that kind of went off the radar and so he’ll be very missed.”
As Ross stated an official autopsy has not been released on the passing of Brodie Lee and this is all just what he has heard within the first few days of Brodie’s passing. The episode of his podcast in question was filmed Wednesday before they did the Brodie Lee Celebration of Life show on TNT.
If we hear anything further on the passing of Brodie Lee, we will have it here and on the PWUnlimited YouTube Channel.
