New Details On Edge Suffering An Injury In Backlash Match
June 15, 2020It looks like Edge was hurt after the base of the match was filmed.
Early Sunday work got out that Edge had suffered a torn tricep in his Backlash match with Randy Orton. When watching the match on the Backlash broadcast Edge made it to the end of the match and it was hard if impossible to see where Edge was injured in the match. The reason for that is because the match was filmed with re-shoots and Edge was hurt during said re-shoots.
According to Dave Meltzer on the latest Wrestling Observer Radio, Meltzer stated that Edge and Orton did the full match at the Performance Center, then after went and re-shot parts of the match that they may have wanted to look better and that is when Edge was hurt. Meltzer stated that he can not 100% confirm, but was told the injury may have come when Edge leaped off the ropes and took an RKO.
Just like when this news was first reported we do not know how serious the injury is. We also do not know how long this will keep out of action. even if to injured we do not know when Edge’s next match would be but now that plan may have to be pushed back due to this injury.
