Multiple Top NXT Talent Backstage At Smackdown

WWE has brought in more NXT talent.

Over the last few weeks, Tomasso Ciampa and Pete Dunne have been working matches before Friday Night Smackdown and Monday Night RAW. Now the word is that two other top NXT stars and 20-years vets are backstage tonight at Smackdown.

According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, Johnson first reported that former NXT North American and Cruiserweight Champion Rodderick Strong is backstage at tonight’s Friday Night Smackdown. Strong has been with WWE in NXT since October of 2016. Strong actually made his pro wrestling debut back in 2000.

Johnson also reported that LA Knight is also backstage tonight. Knight was in WWE shortly back in 2013-2014 before making a big name for himself outside of the company mainly with TNA/IMPACT and the NWA. Knight then returned to WWE back in February of 2021. Knight has just light Strong is a 20-year vet debuting back in early 2002.

It is likely that the two work a match before tonight’s Smackdown and as we normally see with NXT talent there is a good chance they work a match against one another. If we do hear anything else about Strong and Knight being at tonight’s Smackdown in Nashville, we will have it here and on the PWUnlimited YouTube Channel.
