Matt Jackson Dealing With Knee Injuries
November 5, 2020Matt Jackson has been working hurt.
Over the last few weeks, AEW has been doing a storyline where Matt Jackson has an injured ankle. After The Young Bucks became the number one contenders to the tag titles, FTR brutalized Matt’s ankle with a steel chair. Last night The Bucks took on Private Party and Matt sold the ankle through most of the match.
According to Bryan Alvarez on the latest Wrestling Observer Radio, Alvarez stated that Matt Jackson is actually working with a knee injury. He stated that Matt has a partially torn MCL and thinning of the ACL, considered a slight tear.
The injury was suffered back on July 22nd when The Young Bucks took on The Butcher and The Blade in a falls count anywhere match. When Matt hit The Butcher with an elbow drop off the top of the stage, the leg of the table jammed Matt’s knee and he has been rehabbing it since. This is why they are doing the ankle injury, so he can sell the leg and people just think it’s a storyline injury.
This is not the first time Matt Jackson has done this as he turned a back injury into a storyline injury while he was in New Japan Pro Wrestling a few years ago.
If we do hear anything regarding Matt Jackson’s injury, we will have it here and on the PWUnlimited YouTube Channel.
