Matt Hardy Announces He Is A Free Agent After WWE Contract Expires

Matt Hardy looking to explore all options.

Hardy posted a new video on his YouTube channel(video above) confirming that as of March 2nd his contract with WWE has expired. He stated that he has let his contract expire and he is now a free agent. Matt would go on to say that he loves WWE and that will always be his home, but right now he needs to leave. He says at his age he needs more creative input in that career but that can’t happen the way he wants in WWE.

Matt stated that he is not sure what his future holds and thinks he will eventually return to WWE one day but needs to explore other things. Matt went on to say he will watch everything going forward, Being The Elite, RAW, AEW Dark, NWA Powerrr, WWE Backstage, NXT, AEW Dynamite, Smackdown ROH, MLW, and New Japan. He said he will watch everything to find where he feels he would fit the best.

Matt would close it out by stating that the Free The Delete series will conclude with a multi-part finale that will begin this Wednesday at Noon ET.
