Marty Scurll’s Future Revealed

Tonight we learned what is next for ‘The Villain’ Marty Scurll.

It has been no secret that Marty Scurll’s contract with Ring of Honor was coming up and it was unlikely he would stay there. The big looming question was, “Does he go to AEW of WWE?” At least for now though, it is neither.

Tonight NWA held their ‘Into The Fire’ pay-per-view and it capped off with Nick Aldis retaining the NWA World Heavyweight Championship against James Storm. After the match cutting a promo stating that now more than ever he knows he is the best and that it will be hard to find a challenger who has a real shot of taking the title from him.

As Aldis finished his promo the light went out and some familiar music played. Out would then come Marty Scurll himself. The two would then meet face to face in the middle of the ring with no words being said. The show then seemingly went off the air. Moments later it came back with Surll getting ready to cut a promo of his own. Unfortunately, we do not know what Scurll said as the feed froze. When it came back live Scurll was back in the ring.

As of this writing, one would assume that he would be the next challenger for the NWA World Championship. They do have a pay-per-view coming up on January 24th and Aldis needs a challenger. NWA has two TV tapings set in Atlanta tomorrow and Monday but it’s unclear if Scurll will appear at either.

Today Ring Of Honor announced that Scurll will be involved in a big tag team match tomorrow for them in Philidelphia. From everything we have heard, Scurll’s contract with Ring of Honor has expired already but he did agree to work the Final Battle and the Fall out event to finish up with the company. So again it is unclear if Scurll will appear at either of the NWA tapings over the next two days.
