Main Event Announced For Smackdown With Universal Title Implications

Last week it looked like the program between Kevin Owens and Roman reigns was not done. Many thought Owens would get another Universal Title shot against Roman Reigns at the Royal Rumble. yet now, it looks like that is not the case.
WWE posted a video on Twitter that tonight’s Smackdown main event will determine who will challenge Roman Reigns for the Universal Championship at the Royal Rumble. The match itself will be a gauntlet match featuring Shinsuke Nakamura, Daniel Bryan, Sami Zayn, King Corbin, and Rey Mysterio.

Also taking place tonight are two title matches. The Smackdown Tag Team Championships will be on the line when The Street Profits defend against Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode. Also, Big E will defend the Intercontinental Championship against Apollo Crews.
