Long-Time Commentator Let Go By WWE This Week

WWE has let go one of their most tenured announcers.

This week we heard a lot of people at the staff level had been let go by WWE. Many people who work in the office at Stamford including some executives were fired as well ad Adnan Virk leaving as well. Virk was not the only person on the commentary side let go this week as well.

According to a new report from Fightful, they report that WWE has let go Tom Phillips this week. WWE did not announce the release of Phillips and it looks like they will not. we do not know what Tom Philips did to fall out of favor with the company as he was replaced in his role of RAW lead announcer at WrestleMania. His last day on RAW was the week before WrestleMania.

Phillips started with the company back in 2012 and has worked a number of shows for the company. He was work Superstars, 205 Live, NXT UK, Main Event, NXT, and RAW. In a move that no one noticed, Phillips recently changed his Twitter handle to his real name Tom Hannifan.
