Ring Of Honor is changing its business model.

It was announced on Wednesday that Ring of Honor will be taking a break in early 2022 to re-imagine what the company is and will be going forward. It was also revealed that everyone in the company will be released for their contracts. Most contracts reportedly are up at the end of the year and will not be renewed. Any deals past that will get paid till March 31st, 2022 and no further. Now we have some new information on how the company will be run once they return

According to Dave Meltzer on the latest Wrestling Observer Radio, Meltzer stated that the plan going forward is for Ring Of Honor is to be run like an independent promotion. They will not have anyone under contract to the company and just book talent on a per-show basis as needed like others do like PWG, GCW, DEFY, and others.

At this time a lot of questions need to be answered leading up to presumably their relaunch next April. How will they film TV, who will be their champions, how will they go about choosing talent to use, and so forth.

If we do hear anything else on the upcoming changes to Ring Of Honor in 2022, we will have it here and on the PWUnlimited YouTube Channel.
