π½πππΌππππ: Former AEW Star Makes Shocking Return On WWE
February 27, 2024The Chairman has returned to WWE.
Since NXT Vengeance Day, WWE has been teasing someone new coming to NXT. They used riddles from Japanese culture that made people think it could be someone coming to WWE from Japan, but that was not it. In fact it wasn’t someone new to the company at all, but instead a return to the company.
Tonight on NXT, Ridge Holland was in the ring cutting a promo when the light would go out. A spotlight would then hit the ring as Holland is hit by a chair. At first, it was unclear on television to tell who it was but the crowd knew as they quickly started chanting “10, 10, 10, 10, 10.” The shadowy figure would then remove his hood to let us know in fact that it was the former Tye Dillinger, or Shawn Spears if you watched him anywhere else. Yet in the moment they did not tell us what name he would be going by.

Later in the show cameras caught up with Spears and in fact did call him Shawn Spears not Tye Dillinger. He also referenced himself as Spears in the third person. He was asked why he did what he did tonight and he said he attacked Ridge Holland because Ridge has been lying to people and that the truth will bring you to your knees. Spear also said we would hear from him next week
"The truth can bring you to your knees, and that's why Shawn Spears is now in NXT"
