First Match Announced For New Year’s Day Smackdown

The new IC Champ is in action next week.

Next week Friday Night Smackdown will air on New Year’s Day and it was already revealed that we will see the Return of Seth Rollins on that show after he has been out since Survivor Series. With that, the first match has been announced for the show as well.

It was announced that next week the new Intercontinental Champion Big E will be taking on a for US Champion in King Corbin. Some are reporting this as a title defense for the two-time IC Champ, but nowhere in the promotion did it state that the title is on the line.
