Drake Maverick Released By WWE, Comments On Still Having To Work Matches

Today WWE released well over a dozen wrestlers from the company.

One of the first names released from WWE in the initial wave was former 205 Live General Manager Drake Maverick. Not long after the release was made public Maverick took to Twitter to address his release.

Maverick posted a video saying that he was called and told that as of today he has been released from his contract. He was then told that he will still be competing in that e NXT Cruiserweight Title tournament. maverick would go on to say that these tournament matches could be his last matches ever and what really upsets him is that he will not be able to say goodbye to people he has grown close within the company.

Maverick would also state that he wants everyone to know that in these three tournament matches he will compete in, he will give it his all. He says it’s no longer about the title but about going out there and showing what he can do.
