Could AJ Lee Follow Her Husband CM Punk Back To Wrestling

Latest on the three-times former Divas Champion wrestling again.

AJ Lee has not wrestled a single pro wrestling match since the night after WrestleMania. Lee was part of a six-women tag team match on the March 30th, 2015 edition of Monday Night RAW. It was announced on April 3rd of that same year that Lee had retired from pro wrestling. Ever since fans have clamored for her to return and we now know why that may never happen.

While speaking to The New York Post, Lee’s husband CM Punk spoke on the question of his returning to wrestling as he has done over the last few weeks. Punk basically eluded to her neck being the issue that has kept her out of the ring. When Punk was asked if his return has sparked any desire in her to return Punk stated,

“I just want to say, no. Just because [of] her neck. The reason she stopped wrestling is because of her neck. She’s got a bad neck, you know. I wouldn’t want her to jeopardize [her] health and neither would she, so we’ll put an end to that rumor right now.”

Now, this is still not 100% as far as saying she will never come back to wrestling because Edge had neck issues and has returned to the ring. Even Paige who has had two neck surguries has hinted over the last week or so that she may be working to get back into the ring herself.

Never say never in wrestling, but as of right now it looks like AJ Lee has no desire to get back into the ring for any pro wrestling company.
