Colt Cabana Reportedly Works Backstage Role At AEW Dynamite

It looks like AEW really wants Colt Cabana.

This past Wednesday we saw former NWA National Champion and ROH wrestler Colt Cabana join Excalibur on commentary for AEW Dark. Word going around is that many in the company would love to see Colt join All Elite Wrestling in some capacity. It looks like in addition to doing commentary, Cabana worked a backstage role at Wednesday’s show in Corpus Christie.

According to a Mike Johnson of PWInsider, Johnson reports that Colt Cabana worked as a producer. Johnson says this week was somewhat of a tryout with the company for Cabana. It was also said that Colt did great in the role.

As of right now, it is not known if Cabana has been offered a job with the company officially but it would be no surprise if he was signed in some capacity come the new year.

This past weekend Cabana finished up with Ring of Honor at the Final Battle pay-per-view and also work the NWA Into The Fire pay-per-view along with their television tapings. Cabana dropped the National Title at the pay-per-view to Aaron Stevens.
