NXT still running the matches planned for TakeOver.

When WrestleMania was moved from Tampa to Orlando it was reported that NXT TakeOver: Tampa Bay would not be taking place. None of the accompanying WrestleMania week events are actually taking place. Now there is a big update on the Takeover matches.

First reported by Sports Illustrated, they report that Triple H will be on NXT this week. Also, they reported that the matches originally planned to take place at TakeOver will be taking place on NXT on the USA Network starting on April 1st

WWE also confirmed the news stating the following,

Triple H will appear on tomorrow night’s edition of NXT on USA Network, as first reported by Sports Illustrated.

Sports Illustrated also reported that several of the matches originally scheduled for NXT TakeOver: Tampa Bay will instead take place over the next few weeks on NXT, starting with the April 1 edition of the weekly USA Network spectacular.

Could The Game’s appearance have anything to do with this news?

The only match that had been announced for TakeOver was a six-women ladder match to become the number one contender for the NXT Women’s Championship. Also, another direction they were going was Adam Cole possibly defending the NXT Championship against The Velveteen Dream.

if we do hear anything else on what TakeOver matches will air on USA Network we will keep you updated.
