Big Update On Christian’s Future With WWE

Last night in the Men’s Royal Rumble we saw Christian come out at number 24. He didn’t just come out and do the bare minimum but wrestle like he had not been sidelined for the last almost seven years. It was cool seeing Christian in the ring last night, especially with Edge but it only brought up more questions than answers regarding his status going forward.

According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, Johnson reports that Christian will be making further appearances for WWE going forward but does not detail what that actually means. He is currently not scheduled for tonight’s RAW but is believed to be working a part-time schedule with the company.

Johnson also states that until it was time to warm up for the match, no one backstage had any clue that Christian was going to be in the match. Johnson stated that Christian kept this a secret backstage and only people who needed to know knew ahead of the match taking place. Christian actually said after the match that no one knew what was going on and everyone thought he was just there to be there.

Johnson also states that Christian went to Pittsburgh within the week leading up to the Royal Rumble to get cleared to return. Remember it was only seven months ago that Christian was not cleared and or allowed to do anything physical within WWE.
