Big Changes Made To NXT Creative Team

NXT creative has a new point of contact.

Back in September WWE shifted NXT to NXT 2.0 and we had heard that a lot of the decisions being made for the brand revamp were those of Vince McMahon and Bruce Prichard. Now it looks like Bruce is the one with the final say in NXT 2.0.

According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, he reports that the NXT Creative team will not work independently anymore. Before the switch to NXT 2.0 they rarely if ever had to filter things up to main roster officials yet that is no longer the case. Now the brand will fall under Bruce Prichard and Christine Lubrano as their line of contact and approval.

This comes after a number of behind-the-scenes cuts were made last week to the NXT crew. The cust saw names like William Regal, Road Dogg, Dave Kapoor, Gabe Sapolsky, and others let go from the company.

Johnson does state that Johnny Ruso will be the head for the NXT writing team directly under Prichard and Lubrano. Russo has been with the company since October of 2011. It was also stated that Dewey Foley, the son of WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley, along with Anthony Golden Jr. will remain on the NXT Writing team.

The big question here is what does this mean or Triple H and Shawn Michaels’ roles in NXT as far as where they stand on the creative team. If we do hear anything else on the changes to the NXT creative team, we will have it here and on the PWUnlimited YouTube Channel.
