Backstage News On How Much Sasha Banks Is Making With New Japan

New Japan is paying Sasha Banks more than anyone.

It has all but been announced that the former Sasha Banks will be working with New Japan Pro Wrestling at the start f the new year. It is reported that she will be appearing at WrestleKingdom 17 on January 4th. According to Voices of Wrestling, she is on a per-appearance deal and getting paid a lot.

During Monday night’s Wrestling Observer Radio Dave Meltzer talked about Banks working for New Japan stating that her per-appearance deal is more than Chris Jericho’s was and he was making $100,000 an appearance. Jericho was previously the highest-paid wrestler they ever had on a per-appearance deal.

“Voices of Wrestling said that it was a per-appearance deal at the highest price that Bushiroad has ever paid anyone, and they said it was more than Chris Jericho. Which to me sounds… I don’t know.

Chris Jericho made $100,000 a shot when he was working for New Japan, and, man, $100,000 a shot, she’s gonna have to… with Chris Jericho he was actually underpaid because of how much revenue he drove between New Japan World and ticket sales at the different shows and things like that. But I don’t see her driving that revenue, but I guess we’ll find out.”

If Banks is in fact making more money per appearance than Chris Jericho was then that means she is making in excess of $100,000 per show. If you remember, that latest report on her not going back to WWE was that she was asking them for more money than they were willing to pay.

If we do hear anything further on the deal for the former Sasha Banks to work with New Japan Pro Wrestling, we will have it here and on the PWUnlimited YouTube Channel.
