AEW has signed another one of Cody’s recent challengers.

Last week TNT champion Cody held another one of his open challenges and was challenged by Eddie Kingston. The two had a no disqualification match for the title that in the end saw Cody retain the title. After the match, many fans online started a #SignKingston campaign and it has seemed to have worked.

Today All Elite Wrestling announced that they have officially signed Kingston to the company.

After the match, AEW posted a video on their social channels that showed Eddie Kingston get emotion after having this opportunity. He says that he learned a long time ago that you never lose but you learn in defeat. He said he learned that on that one night Cody was the better wrestler but just that one night and that he will be back.

Congratulations to Eddie Kingston for earning a contract with AEW and it will be interesting to see how they use him going forward.
