Is AEW turning into TNA from 2006-2008.

Back in 2006-2008 Total Nonstop Action Wrestling was full of former WWE talent with more coming in every week. We saw the same stuff with WCW back in the day and some have started to compare AEW to that as well with who they have signed recently. Now after recently signing Andrade El Idolo and Malakai Black, it looks like they want another WWE Superstar released this year.

According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, Meltzer reports that AEW is interested in signing former WWE Cruiserweight Champion Buddy Murphy. Murphy was released by WWE back on June 2nd and his 90-day non-compete is up on Tuesday, August 31st. That is the week of AEW All Out where the company will be in Chicago all week with Dynamite, Rampage, and All Out. It was also recently reported that IMPACT Wrestling was interested in signing Murphy as well.

As far as Murphy working once his non-compete is up, Murphy was recently announced for a match with Brian Cage on September 18th for Battleground Championship Wrestling in Philidelphia.

If we do hear anything else regarding where Murphy could go after August 31st, we will have it here and on the PWUnlimited YouTube Channel.
