AEW Dynamite Ratings For 8/27 Up Over Last Two Weeks Despite Massive Competition

AEW held strong against the massive RNC.

According to ShowBuzz Daily, this week’s AEW Dynamite drew 8,13,000 viewers. This is up roughly 8% from last Saturday night’s show that drew 755,000 viewers. This show saw a +58,000 viewers increase. For non-news programming on cable, Real Housewives on NYC was the best. Yet the night itself was massively dominated by the Republican National Convention.

The convention was aired on all news networks and most major broadcast networks as well. On FOX News alone the RNC drew 9,043,000 viewers. Hannity that was the lead in on FOX News drew 7,785,000 viewers. On broadcast television, the RNC drew 7,100,000 viewers combined with the viewer count from ABC, CBS, and NBC.

Comparing this week’s Dynamite to the last Wednesday episode back on August 12, this week was up 3% and saw a +21,000 viewer increase.

As far as the demographics, in the 18-49 demo, AEW drew a .29. In the 18-34 demo, AEW drew a .19 and in the 50+ demo, it drew a .30. In the all-important 18-49 demo, AEW Dynamite was ranked 11th. The Republican National Convention on FOX News was number one with a 1.19 in the 18-49 demo.
