WWE’s Reaction To Rey Fenix’s Recent Tweets

WWE is keeping an eye on things with Fenix.

Over the last few days, we saw Rey Fenix take to social media and speak out against All Elite Wrestling and how he has been treated. This all seemed from how Fenix was looking to leave AEW when his contract was set to be up and the company adding injury time to his deal. It is very well known that he and his brother were looking to make the move to WWE and now WWE is keeping on eye on things going on with Fenix.

According to WrestleVotes on the latest WrestleVotes Radio, they talked about how WWE was surprised by the tweet that Fenix took out. They note how they didn’t change WWE’s mind on Fenix, but that it raised some eyebrows with Fenix putting this stuff out publically.

“Hearing that there were those in the WWE that were surprised yesterday with the Rey Fenix tweets. Not to say that they’re not interested anymore, I’m sure that didn’t change, but there were some eyebrows raised over those tweets, especially if you’re going to put that out there publicly.

 I think WWE is going to do some digging into what’s going on……So that doctor one, you know, my phone started to buzz a little bit afterwards about just the surprise from a few WWE staffers that really didn’t have a pulse on to what may or may not be going on over there with Rey Fenix.

So I just think it raised eyebrows throughout the whole wrestling world, and it did, certainly, you know, in Stamford.”

It is still unclear how much time has been added to Fenix’s deal with AEw but it is said it was a significant amount of time. Not a full year added but possible close to it as his deal could be up halfway through 2025 or so.
